What We Provide
We make ordering easy. Simply follow our ordering guidelines to ensure your order is complete. If you have printed a cookbook with us in the past, we will gladly assist you with reprints.
No-risk Guarantee
We do not require any up-front money from fundraising organizations. We guarantee (PDF) to every fundraising organization using our cookbook program that sales from the cookbook will be sufficient to pay the printing bill. Order our FREE Cookbook Kit for complete details.
How To Order
- Provide a thoroughly completed Order Form, including signatures of the chairperson and an alternate (preferably the co-chairperson).
- Order plenty of books. Smaller reprints later may cost more.
- Include all custom material and artwork (as necessary) for cover, dividers, and personal pages. Your order must contain ALL necessary material before we can begin production.
- Use our Checklist (PDF 48 KB) to ensure your order is complete.
- Upon receipt of your order, you’ll receive a confirmation letter with a book number. We will call or e-mail you if we have any questions.
- If you call with any questions, provide your book number so we can quickly locate your order.
- Foreign orders including APO, FPO, and USA territories, are not accepted.
Normal Production Time
- Normal production time for books requiring typesetting is 45-50 business days. Production time for press-ready books or those that use typensave® is 35-40 business days.
- Business days are calculated from the day after we receive your complete order to the day we ship your finished cookbooks. We are not in production on weekends, holidays, or during our two-week plant shutdown in late December.
- Orders received from June 1 to Nov. 15 usually require the maximum number of working days, sometimes longer, since this is our busiest season. Order early and allow yourselves plenty of time to sell.
- Allow for shipping time after the books leave our plant.
27-Day Rush Service
- Your books will be shipped in just 27 business days from the day after we receive your order and all necessary material.
- Rush orders incur a 15% upcharge ($200 minimum) on the order total.
- We recommend sending your order and material via NEXT-DAY AIR. The U.S. Post Office and UPS ground delivery can take 5–10 days.
- Once your cookbook proof is ready, we will ship it via Next-Day Air. You must keep the proof NO LONGER than 3 days and return it to us via NEXT-DAY AIR. Keeping the proof longer or returning it by other means will delay the scheduled shipment.
- Allow for shipping time after the books leave our plant.
- This service only applies to orders within the continental USA. We cannot guarantee production time less than 27 business days.
- We reserve the right to limit the number of 27-day RUSH orders we accept during our peak seasons. RUSH orders are not accepted form Nov. 1 to Nov. 30.
Payment Terms
- Most organizations collect enough money to pay for their order in full within 37 days.
- Prepayment is not required for recognized and approved non-profit organizations.
- Half the bill is due in 37 days with the balance due in 90 days with no interest or other charges.
- Individuals, families, and businesses must pay half the cost at the time the order is submitted. The balance is due before books are shipped.
Free Proof
- We always give you the opportunity to look over your cookbook before it goes to press. Regardless if we typeset your recipes, you typeset it with typensave®, or you send material press-ready, you will always receive a FREE proof.
- Additional proofs may be requested for an extra charge.
- The length of time you keep your proof is an important factor in determining how quickly you receive your books.
- If we typeset your book, we will correct any errors you find at no charge. If you use typensave®, error corrections are subject to an extra charge.
Shipping Your Cookbooks
- Morris Press Cookbooks helps pay shipping charges with 3% FREE books on every order. Selling these books at the recommended price will generate money to help cover freight expenses.
- Most orders are shipped UPS. Larger orders are usually shipped by commercial truck lines.
- Allow 3-5 business days from the ship date for delivery on orders within the continental USA. For Alaska and Hawaii, allow 3-6 weeks.
Inspecting Your Order
- ALWAYS inspect ALL cartons carefully when they are delivered.
- All shipments are insured with the carrier. Any damage is the responsibility of the carrier, not Morris Press Cookbooks. We will help any way we can if a claim is necessary.
- Visible damage must be noted on the delivery receipt before signing and reported to the carrier immediately. You MUST SAVE both the damaged books and the carton(s) in which they were delivered for possible inspection by the carrier.
- Concealed damage must be reported to the carrier within 7 days of delivery.
- Defects in books, not due to shipping damage, must be reported to us within 90 days. We reserve the right to repair, replace, or credit defective books.
Reprints
- Cookbook files are kept for 10 years.
- Reprints are less per book, based on current prices, if ordering the same quantity as the initial order (excluding coupons or discounts). Call for quotes.
- Charges for Optional Features on the original order may also apply to reprints.
- Errors may be corrected at no additional charge if a list of errors is submitted with the reprint and the errors were part of the original text submitted for publication.
- Changes, additions, or deletions from the original text could be subject to an additional charge.
- For recognized and approved non-profit organizations, full payment is due 37 days from the invoice date.
- Individuals, families, and businesses must pay half of the cost at the time of the order, with the balance due before books are shipped.
- Reprints are completed and shipped within 25–30 business days, although changes in the order or heavy seasonal demand may result in increased production time.
